There's plenty of activity in the nest. Almost certainly there are three chicks, maybe four.
One chick is usually struggling up in the center of the nest, while a spot of white fuzz can be seen off to the left. In the third photo below, you can see another chick peering out at around 3:00.

Almost always, Roxie watches faithfully from her perch above the nest. Her head is usually hidden by leaves. Maybe she thinks we can't see that big body if her face is covered? But THE EYE is always there, peering through the leaves.

The climbers are getting stronger and more curious. Look at the size of the feet in the first photo! The little hawk is on the move, and has temporarily relaxed his grip to move up. In the second photo, he has succeeded in getting a bit higher and is now holding onto the sticks as though his life depends upon it! In the third photo, you can see the hawklet to the left working his foot to achieve the same result.

Now, without doubt, we know there are at least three cooplets in the nest. Go ahead, count them. There's Big Foot in the middle, with Minime copycat on the right, and a Sly Fox of a chick on the left behind the support limb, where he seems to like to hang out.
